What the district notes
- Parent-teacher conferences: high schools Sept. 14 and 15 and Feb. 9 and 10; junior highs Sept. 16 and 17 and Feb. 8 and 9; elementary SEP (Student Education Plan) conferences Sept. 15 and 16 and Feb. 10 and 11. The days off on Sept. 18 and Feb. 12 are compensatory days for these conferences.
- The printed calendar counts 176 school days, including the two compensatory days for conferences (Sept. 18 and Feb. 12), when students do not attend. Students attend 174 days; the A-B calendar's 87 A days and 87 B days add up to the same 174.
- The calendar's key says the P planning day early outs are for elementary schools only. The district's District Dates calendar lists every Friday early out as "Elementary & Jr High" and the other planning days as "Elementary only", except Thursday, March 11, which it also lists for junior highs. Check your junior high's bell schedule for March 11.
- High schools run an A-B block schedule; the district publishes a separate A-B calendar marking each school day A or B.
- Kindergartners have testing Aug. 12 to 14 and early outs Aug. 17 to 21. Your school sets the schedule.
