Terms of Service

Last updated: August 28, 2026

These terms govern your use of the KidsFoldr app and the kidsfoldr.app website. By using either, with or without an account, you agree to them.

The service

KidsFoldr reads documents you give it and extracts calendar events from them using automated text and image recognition. You can give it a document by photographing it, by choosing a photo or a file already on your device, or (on plans where the feature is included) by forwarding an email to the address the app shows you.

Extraction is automated and imperfect. Quality depends on the legibility of what you send, so always review extracted events for accuracy before adding them to your calendar. We are not responsible for missed, incorrect, or duplicate events, and features that import events without review are yours to switch on and yours to check.

Accounts

You can try KidsFoldr without an account: a device gets one free scan before it is asked to sign up. That trial scan is granted once per device, and we may refuse it to a device that has already used it.

If you create an account, you must provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Accounts are for adults (parents and guardians), not for children.

Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically until cancelled through your device's subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies, not by KidsFoldr directly.

On iOS, use of the app is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These terms describe the KidsFoldr service; Apple's EULA licenses the app itself, and where the two differ on the license to use the app, Apple's applies.

Sharing

KidsFoldr can turn an event into a link you send to someone else. That link opens a page anyone holding it can view, and it can carry the event's details, your notes, your kids' first names and the photo the event came from. You choose which of those to include each time you share. The page expires automatically. Only share what you're comfortable with the recipient, and anyone they pass the link to, being able to see.

Acceptable use

Don't use KidsFoldr to scan or forward documents you don't have the right to process, to share other people's information without their permission, or to attempt to disrupt or abuse the service. Don't attempt to obtain scans you haven't been granted, whether by evading device or account limits, by automating the app, or otherwise. We may suspend or close an account, or refuse service to a device, for any of these.

Disclaimer

KidsFoldr is provided "as is." We work hard to extract events accurately, but you're responsible for verifying dates, times, and locations before relying on them.

Ending your use

You can delete your account and everything we hold for it from inside the app at any time; see the support page for how and for what deletion does and doesn't cover. Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription — cancel that in your device's subscription settings.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
