Weeks with fewer than five school days

Ten weeks have fewer than five school days, and two weeks have none at all.

Teacher workdays: no school for students

One of the days off is a staff day. Teachers work; students stay home. Plan child care as you would for a holiday.

• Tuesday, Nov. 3: staff PD day (no school for students)

Makeup days

First snow makeup day, if needed, Monday, March 22 (only if more than four snow days are used; they start March 22 and work forward, or as the Board of Education decides).

Also worth knowing

• School is open on some federal holidays: Columbus Day (Monday, Oct. 12) and Veterans Day (Wednesday, Nov. 11). Banks, post offices and many offices close; school does not.
• The calendar prints no testing dates.
• Some days off may change: spring break (includes Good Friday), March 22 to 26 (If more than four snow days are used, they are made up starting March 22 and working forward, or as the Board of Education decides).
• After the last day, the calendar still shows Juneteenth (observed) (June 18). Students are already out.

First and last day of school

The first day of school is Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. The last day is Wednesday, June 16, 2027, with early dismissal.

Teachers start sooner. Staff days before school run Sept. 2 to 3.

How we checked these dates

We read every date off the district's own calendar twice: once from the PDF's text and once from the image, cell by cell against its legend. Then we checked each one against the district's calendar page, the district's online calendar and the district's School Times page.

Every weekday on this page matches its date. If the district changes its calendar, its page is the final word.
