Also worth knowing
- School is open on some federal holidays: Veterans Day (Thursday, Nov. 11) and Juneteenth (Monday, June 19). Banks, post offices and many offices close; school does not.
- The calendar prints no testing dates. It says testing dates that need an early dismissal or a delayed opening will be added when they become available.
- Some days off may change: spring break, April 10 to 14 (If more than the three inclement weather days are needed, April 10, 11 and 12 become school days (early dismissal days), in that order).

The first day of school is Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2027. The last day is Wednesday, June 21, 2028, with early dismissal.
Teachers start sooner. Staff days before school run Aug. 30 to 31.
What the district notes
- The calendar has three inclement weather days built in. If they are not needed, school days come off the calendar as days off, in this order: Tuesday, May 30, Wednesday, May 31, and Monday, April 17. This page keeps them as school days.
- Students start late on Monday, Nov. 29: a delayed opening for students, with morning staff development. The calendar prints no opening time.
- No early dismissal times are printed on the calendar. Check the district's Calendar page closer to each date.
- Livingston High School graduation is the last day, Wednesday, June 21, 2028.
- The district closes for Juneteenth on Friday, June 16. Monday, June 19, the federal holiday, is a school day.
- The calendar also marks Rosh Hashanah (Oct. 2 and 3), Eid (Feb. 27), Passover (April 11 to 18) and Easter (April 16). They fall on a weekend or during spring break.
