- School is open on a federal holiday: Veterans Day (Wednesday, Nov. 11). Banks, post offices and many offices close; school does not.

What the district notes
- Weather make-up days are May 24-27 and June 1-2, in no set order. The district uses them only if weather closings push students below the state's required 1,044 hours of instruction, so the last day may move past May 20.
- There is no school on May 21 and May 28 because Jefferson City High School hosts the state track meet; those days will not be used as weather make-up days, and neither will Memorial Day.
- Staff earned days off (Oct. 12, Nov. 23-24 and March 26) make up for the parent-teacher conference nights staff work; students have no school. Nov. 23-24 make Thanksgiving break a full week, and March 26 does the same for spring break.
