Weeks with fewer than five school days

Eleven weeks have fewer than five school days, and three weeks have none at all.

Teacher workdays: no school for students

One of the days off is a staff day. Teachers work; students stay home. Plan child care as you would for a holiday.

• Monday, Nov. 30: professional development day (no school for students)

Makeup days

No makeup days are dated. The calendar plans 180 days ending June 18 and allows five makeup days through June 25, so canceled days push the last day later. If school closes for weather, the district announces how the day is made up.

Also worth knowing

• School is open on a federal holiday: Juneteenth (Friday, June 18). Banks, post offices and many offices close; school does not.
• The calendar prints no parent-teacher conference dates. Schools set their own.
• The calendar prints no testing dates.
• The last day can move. Later if school is canceled, as late as Friday, June 25, if all five makeup days are used. The planned last day is Friday, June 18; it can fall from Friday, June 18 to Friday, June 25.

First and last day of school

The first day of school is Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026. The last day is Friday, June 18, 2027, with early dismissal, as planned. It can fall anywhere from Friday, June 18 to Friday, June 25: later if school is canceled, as late as Friday, June 25, if all five makeup days are used.

Teachers start sooner. Staff days before school run Aug. 31.

How we checked these dates

We read every date off the district's own calendar twice: once from the PDF's text and once from the image, cell by cell against its legend. Then we checked each one against the district's home page, the district's events calendar and the school events calendars.

Every weekday on this page matches its date. If the district changes its calendar, its page is the final word.
