Teacher workdays: no school for students

What the district notes

  • Every Wednesday is an early release day (one hour early), except in the two FTE weeks (Oct. 7 and Feb. 3). In three weeks the early release moves to Friday: Nov. 20, Dec. 18 and March 12.
  • Midterm periods end Sept. 9, Nov. 4, Feb. 3 and April 21.
  • Fourth-period report cards come June 1, 2027 for elementary schools. For middle and high schools they come in July 2027, pending the state (FLDOE) release.
  • Winter and spring break each end with a teacher duty day: students return Tuesday, Jan. 5 and Tuesday, March 23.
