Makeup days
The calendar names no makeup days. Emergency makeup days are set by the superintendent, as state law on instructional time requires. If school closes for weather, the district announces how the day is made up.

- School is open on a federal holiday: Columbus Day (Monday, Oct. 9). Banks, post offices and many offices close; school does not.

What the district notes
- On the six teacher workdays, secondary and elementary teachers have different duties (a duty day or a professional development day), but there is no school for any student.
- Report card distribution dates are listed as TBD on the calendar for both elementary and secondary schools.
- The district is closed every Friday in July 2028 and June 2029 (after June 1), and on Friday, March 23, 2029.
- Two fall holidays are for students only: Tuesday, Aug. 22 and Thursday, Sept. 21, 2028. Each makes a one-day break in a full week, not a long weekend.
