What the district notes

  • This calendar is for every SDOC school except PATHS (Professional and Technical High School), which has its own 2026-27 calendar on the same page.
  • Every Wednesday is an early release day, one hour before the regular end time, except March 31, May 5 and May 12. Elementary schools end at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesdays, middle and K-8 schools at 3:25 p.m., and most high schools at 1:10 p.m.; check your school's time.
  • If more than the four listed emergency makeup days are needed, the district will assign them based on the circumstances at the time.
  • The calendar counts 180 student days: 16 in August, 20 in September, 21 in October, 15 in November, 14 in December, 18 in January, 19 in February, 17 in March, 22 in April and 18 in May.
