- School is open on a federal holiday: Veterans Day (Wednesday, Nov. 11). Banks, post offices and many offices close; school does not.

Pasco grades in quarters. The calendar prints each quarter's school-day count (41, 44, 52 and 44, 181 in all) and report card dates; the 4th quarter report card date is to be announced. The counts include Feb. 12 and April 16, which may become days off.

What the district notes
- Friday, Feb. 12 and Friday, April 16 are planned school days. Each becomes a no-school day if the district does not need it as makeup time after the first semester. If both convert, Feb. 12 makes a 4-day weekend with Presidents Day (Feb. 12 to 15) and April 16 a 3-day weekend.
- June 1 to 4, after the last day, are held for student makeup days in case of an extended closure.
- Meet the Teacher is Friday, Aug. 7 for secondary schools and Monday, Aug. 10 for elementary schools, before the first day.
- Progress reports go home Sept. 18, Nov. 20, Feb. 11 and April 23.
- If instructional time is lost during the year, the district may revise this calendar or change school start and end times to meet state requirements.
