Teacher workdays: no school for students

Makeup days
No dated makeup days: snow make-up days are added at the end of the year in June, then taken from spring vacation if needed. If school closes for weather, the district announces how the day is made up.

- After the last day, the calendar still shows Juneteenth (district closed) (June 19). Students are already out.

What the district notes
- Snow days move the last day: make-up days are added at the end of the school year in June, and if June cannot hold them all, days come off spring vacation, starting at the end of that week.
- Every Thursday is an abbreviated day, about 30 minutes shorter (Dec. 23 is a half day instead). Current Thursday dismissal: elementary 2:50 p.m., Edison Middle 2:04 p.m., Lincoln and Washington Middle 1:44 p.m., high schools 1:28 p.m.
- High school graduation dates are set at the second Board of Education meeting in April.
- Juneteenth falls on Monday, June 19, after the last day; the district is closed.
