What the district notes
- The first day for ECE (preschool) students is Tuesday, Aug. 24, a day after kindergarten to grade 12.
- The last day, June 2, is a half day: students attend the first half of the day. That is why the calendar prints 174.5 instructional days.
- This year one orange color marks both vacation days and staff learning days, so the calendar does not say which of the two Oct. 12 and March 3 are. Either way, there are no classes.
- The calendar underlines religious and cultural holidays and observances; school is open on those days. DPS links its full list of holidays and observances from the calendar.
