- School is open on a federal holiday: Columbus Day (Monday, Oct. 12). Banks, post offices and many offices close; school does not.
- The district calendar prints no parent-teacher conference days.

- After the last day, the calendar still shows Memorial Day (May 31). Students are already out.

What the district notes
- K-8 schools let out early almost every Monday, from Aug. 10 to May 17, plus Friday, Dec. 18 and the last day, May 27. High schools have no early release days on this calendar. The calendar does not print dismissal times; check your school's schedule.
- Lincoln's Day (Feb. 8) and Presidents Day (Feb. 15) fall on back-to-back Mondays, so February has two three-day weekends.
- Friday, April 9 is a non-student day: no school for students.
