Teacher workdays: no school for students
Two of the days off are staff days. Teachers work; students stay home. Plan child care as you would for a holiday.

Makeup days
The calendar names no makeup days. If school closes for weather, the district announces how the day is made up.

- The calendar prints no parent-teacher conference days. Schools set their own.
- After the last day, the calendar still shows teacher work day (June 4). Students are already out.
First and last day of school
The first day of school is Monday, Aug. 17, 2026. The last day is Thursday, June 3, 2027.
Teachers start sooner. Staff days before school run Aug. 3 to 14.
Grading periods
Each semester also has two progress grading periods, ending Sept. 25 and Nov. 6 in the fall and Feb. 26 and April 23 in the spring.

- The calendar counts 180 days of instruction.
- Graduations are June 3 and 4. Friday, June 4 is a teacher work day with no classes.
- The calendar lists the SAT on the no-class days Oct. 12 and March 15 and the PSAT on Oct. 17, a Saturday.
- Last day to add a class: Aug. 28 (fall) and Jan. 15 (spring). Last day to drop a class with a "W" on the transcript: Nov. 20 and May 7.
