Teacher workdays: no school for students
One of the days off is a staff day. Teachers work; students stay home. Plan child care as you would for a holiday.

Makeup days
The calendar names no makeup days. If needed, inclement weather makeup days use the eSchool Day format (students learn from home). If school closes for weather, the district announces how the day is made up.
Also worth knowing
- The calendar lists no district-wide conference days. Schools set their own.
- The calendar prints no testing dates. Second semester final exams end on the last day of school.
- Remote school days: Friday, Oct. 8 and Friday, Feb. 18. It counts as a school day, but students learn at home. Plan for a child at home.
- After the last day, the calendar still shows teacher professional learning day (May 26) and Memorial Day (May 29). Students are already out.

What the district notes
- The calendar counts 180 student days, including the two eSchool days, and 189 teacher days.
- Oct. 8 and Feb. 18 are eSchool days: students learn from home, and teachers have professional learning. They count as school days.
- Each school may schedule two of the nine teacher professional learning days to meet its own needs. May 26 is a required professional learning day for all teachers.
- Students return from winter break on Wednesday, Jan. 5, the first day of the second semester. Jan. 3 and 4 are teacher professional learning days.
